No 10th planet close to me, go to a Renzo Gracie school, a lot of the dudes there give me shit for practicing 10th planet techniques cuz its not “From the school curriculum” but they cant deny its effectiveness…. Eddie youre the man
I go to Renzo’s in NYC and am very close with him personally. He doesn’t give a f**k if you train at Marcelo’s one weekend, 10th planet etc. etc. I hate how the subsidiary schools lose the Masters spirit. I shed a Gi 8 years 6 years ago when I got my blue belt with Team Link. I then did all private lessons with a black belt who shall remain nameless. If you’re on twitter or Instagram look up Renzo and myself, Brendan Dorman……..we chat everyday and I would work for him if I wasn’t stuck in the worst area for martial artists ever, western Massachusetts. I go to NYC and train NoGi at Renzo’s every other weekend with my students that actually compete in MMA. Renzo doesn’t even like certain people in the family man….and he REALLY LIKES Eddie and is in fact much more personable to me than Eddie which I find totally weird but maybe it’s an east coast thing. Only time I’ve talked to Eddie, he, myself, and Vinny M. were making fun of a combat sambo guy which was tear inducing funny, but Eddie isn’t a responsive kind of dude, neither is Rogan although he’s kind of A list now. Point is train wherever, if they give you shit about the Gi, get in touch with me and I’ll talk to Renzo. If it’s other students, get better haha jk. Anyway sorry I was so long winded, but Eddie and 10th Planet are friends of The Renzo faction of the Gracie family. I don’t know where I stand with 10th planet despite being pretty well connected in NYC and Boston so……
Yeah i’ve talked to renzo the times that he’s come to our school in Middletown Nj. what i dont get is why people wouldnt train techniques that were effective… even if eddie bravo started eating babies and shooting old people, im not gunna give up on shit that works.. thats like saying you dont throw uppercuts cuz you dont like mike tyson. Rolling in my school against better guys, i still get the hindulotine (the fuck if i know how to spell that) and the invisible collar all day because they simply dont know how to defend it. Im an mma fighter, so getting punched in the face is something i try to avoid whenever possible, obviously im preaching to the choir here, but the rubber guard and the 10th planet system is great for being in the cage

Anybody have any advice for being more effective with the lockdown Half against much larger opponents. When it gets over 30 LBS bigger or so and the opponent is decent skill level I start to run into a lot of problems with the Darce, Straight Arm Lock/Inverted Kimora and the Twister Pass. Any suggestions?
