When did you submit your first blackbelt?

What was the highest belt rank you've submitted when rolling? If you've subbed a blackbelt what belt rank were you when it happened? Also do you find higher ranks go all out to defend a position a lower rank may get them in to not get subbed by them.

A training partner who is a purple belt had Rodrigo Gracie in a toe hold and Rodrigo had a worried look on his face then just started kickin his ass to get away and eventually did. He got up after he submitted the purple belt later in the roll and shook his finger laughing saying "Almost! almost!".

2nd degree black belt in Judo that was on the All-Japan Team, when they came over and my school hosted them in high school. Ezekiel Choked him then he ippon'd me about a million times after that for it. I was only a 3rd Degree Brown at the time.

Ive tapped my black belt instructor, Gerald Strebendt, as a purple belt BUT I have a feeling he let it happen..Its always hard to tell if hes taking it easy on you.
BTW you can change your name in your settings without having to make a whole new account

Who cares about what happens in training? It's the guys who never compete and need the ego boost that focus on this sort of thing. If you're all that then start collecting medals n showing the rest of us what's up. That not for you? Then just enjoy your mat time for what it is rather than what it ain't.

this is why so many instructors find it a must to crush and dismantle there students, because dudes might get on facebook or forums and talk shit, not realizing there instructor let them get the tap or went at half speed. those dudes are there own worst enemy, because they force there instructors to kill them constantly and they get there spirits broken, it puts instructors in a wierd spot were they don't want to break there students spirit, but they also don't want them talking shit on online, "what happens in the gym should stay in the gym "

Yeah I had the same thought. I mean, I guess it would feel good, but IDK man, I find it kinda dishonorable.

I like you gator. I just can't get with you on this thread. On the miraculous day that I ever tap a BB without being a black belt, I'll act like I got lucky. Not that I'm that good. Cuz if I were, I'd be a black belt.
