    talking while rolling

i know eddie was saying he did it to royler and i was wondering who else does it as well? if they find it good or bad or just funny.

i was just talking to brandon woolsey and ross davidson about it and i know when i tried it once the guy would stop rolling and answer which wasnt fun. but sometimes it can make things so much more enjoyable.

I usually talk trash when I'm rolling with higher belts. Not serious trash but silly trash like, You aren't getting that arm bar... this is usually directly followed by me getting arm barred. Not everybody knows when it's time to shut up and roll and when it's ok to have fun. But we can't take ourselves so serious all the time. Jiu jitsu should be fun as much as it is intense. Just my opinion.

You should be focused on the roll. If you can do that and talk, so be it. But I have a problem if people flat out just stop rolling in the middle of a round and wanna have a full blown conversation.

During serious rolls, I don't talk, but with the new guys, especially the nervous ones, I tell jokes and do impressions. My Joe Rogan always gets laughs

I pretty much always talk while I'm rolling, unless it's a serious match; and, it's mostly just sarcasm or instruction depending on who I'm rolling with.

i like to talk when rolling but it depends on who I'm rolling with as a lot of guys don't like it.
