What's up 10p fam? In the adult expert/advanced absolute got a bi For qualifier round cause of the odd number of competitors (13). In the semi finals submitted someone with a modified calf slicer with toehold from lockdown in a minute and some change to go to the quarter finals against a well known black belt in our area. I stuck to the game plan with pulling half guard straight to lock down and working from there. There was a little weight difference so he kept putting me flat on my back and lying there stalling. When there was two minutes left I let go of the lockdown and tried anything to get a better position which ended up in a scramble to where we both ended up with a leg so like the past two weeks of drilling came in like second nature and readjusted and locked in DOA for the submission!!! Only shitty part is my go pro battery died after the semi-final match but I tell you I threw up the 10p gang sign like a boss. Lost in the Finals to a wrestler by points . I will post the semi final match it was pretty slick. After submitting the black belt he stated that that would never happen in the gi and I said you are right sir! I also heard from people that he went to bracketing to see why they allow no gi competitors to wear gi pants and state his case why it's unfair???wtf?

gi pants advantage or disadvantage for no gi competition?

My catch wrestling coach has defeated black belts who wanted to do nogi and GI (both times one of them tried to pull guard, and both times he escaped and then subbed the dude).

First, congratulations on the nice quick win. Second, I never have seen this move and I truly am going to add it to my game because I get stuck at times in lockdown when its a bigger opponent. Thanks for the video.

@Cora last time I posted a video with this submission I didn't know what to call it. I don't know if it has a name in the 10th Planet system. I have been calling it a a calf slicer/toe hold. I have been using this for quite sometime with great success. Below are two clips of it being utilized in competition and two videos of if being slowly demonstrated cause I had a few folks last time ask for me to break it down. Maybe I can do a good breakdown of the move this weekend with a detailed commentary and post it to the forum. @TThompson Thank you. It does help out a lot with bigger and or guys with longer legs when they tend to try and bend their leg as you get lockdown. If the move does not have a legit name in the 10P system I have a few that I have thought of lol.
