    Broadway guard requires pretty good flexibility, but really once you've mastered Jazz Hand Control your flexibility won't be much of an issue. The hardest part I think is getting your timing together for the synchronized high-kick sweep. That and the weight cut. Under Broadway rules nobody can compete at more than 100lbs.

    I like 2:46 where he blocks the knife with his chest.. i dont know why i never thought of that.

    Haha, I hadn't watched that far. At 4:20, he shows a great defence to a very common situation. Then it plays in slow motion, and then he gives more advice, "so, don't worry too much about being cut".

    You haven't heard of the sternum block? It's more powerful than blocking with your groin. We gotta protect our wrists and hands from those deadly wrist/hand attacks. My sensei's black belt says I'm right.
